What is Ajanta Pharma USA?

Since our parent Ajanta Pharma Ltd.’s inception in 1973 in India, we have remained unwavering in our commitment to delivering quality generic drugs to patients. Through nearly 50 years of innovation and collaboration, we have grown to more than 13,000 employees in 34+ countries, including our expansion into the US market!

Based in Bridgewater, NJ, Ajanta Pharma USA is dedicated to superior service, supply chain reliability and flexibility to meet the unique needs of the US market. As of 30th Jun, 2026, Ajanta Pharma USA has 55 ANDA approvals, out of which 51 are commercialized. Ajanta is awaiting US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approval for 17 ANDAs.

We plan to file 8-12 ANDAs every year.

The global outbreak of COVID-19 was a watershed moment for global supply chains, particularly in the pharmaceutical world. At a time when end users were facing market uncertainty, delays in the supply chain, and interrupted production timelines, Ajanta’s safety stock of finished goods, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and components kept our generic drugs on the shelves for our customers. Our hallmark reliability earned us honors from some of the more recognizable wholesalers, distributors, and pharmacy customers across the US.
